About Us
Learn about how we became a Diocese
Established on December 28, 2007, by Pope Benedict XIV, the Catholic Diocese of Techiman spans a diverse landscape in Ghana. Carved out of Sunyani and Konongo-Mampong Dioceses, it covers 25,500 square kilometers, comprising mainly rural areas in the Bono East Region. Led by Most Rev. Dominic Yeboah Nyarko since his ordination on March 29, 2008, the diocese prioritizes youth engagement, vocations, and community development.
We at the Catholic Diocese of Techiman seek to bring people into Salvation in Christ; by equipping them with Christian Values to demonstrate high level of uprightness
The Catholic Diocese of Techiman envisions a harmonious society where reconciliation, justice and peace prevail; and God’s people attain spiritual growth.
