Aworowa is a town in the Techiman North District. It is about 3 km from Akrofrom on the Techiman-Wenchi road. Aworowa co-shares the Akumfi Ameyaw Senior High School with Akrofrom. it has a population of 6,589.
The Catholic Church at Aworowa began around the same time that the Catholic Community was growing at Akrofrom. The founder of the church, Opanin Anthony Yaw Krah was among the pioneers of Akrofrom who brought the Catholic faith from Koase, near Wenchi.
The move to create Aworowa church as a rectorate began in 2008 Rev. Fr. Samuel Kofi Adjei was teaching at the Akumfi Ameyaw Senior High School and resided at the Akrofrom Rectory. Rev. Fr. Matthias Takyi Agyeman, the Chaplain of the Holy Family Hospital, Techiman, took over from Fr. Samuel Kofi Adjei as the new and current rector of the church.
