Brong Ahafo, Catholic Co-Operative Society for Development, BACCSOD, was borne by the Late, Most Rev. James Kwadwo Owusu. Today BACCSOD has grown to become BACCSOD Apex. It is a cooperative financial institution registered under the law of Ghana and operates mainly in the Brong-Ahafo Region. It is registered under the name “Regional Union of Brong-Ahafo Catholic Co-Operative Societies for Development”. BACCSOD Apex exists to provide a framework to become an effective and more vibrant co-operative financial institution in Ghana and also to represent, protect and promote the overall image and integrity of the Unions and Societies nationwide.
